Summer Opportunities for Scholars
It’s (almost) that time of the year again, and fun summer programs will be here before we know it! Below is a list of free and low-cost summer programs for NAZ scholars. Keep an eye on this list as it continues to grow!
Minneapolis Community Education Youth Programs include camps in fine arts, STEM, science, outdoors, sports, imagination, aquatics and technology, Beacons programming, and much, much more!

University of Minnesota’s < RUN>: \ THE\ WORLD Machine Learning Summer Day Camp (High School ONLY) is a unique opportunity to connect with other high school students who share the same interests, and learn cool programming and math techniques that make a difference in the world.
*NOTE: While each week-long camp costs $75, a fee waiver is available upon request.*

Teen Internship – Hennepin County Library’s Teen Tech Squad is seeking teens ages 16-18 to join their team. Teen Tech Squad members help provide a fun learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) for kids and teens.
Interns will be paid $20.50 per hour. NOTE: This position is year-round (school year and summer)
Lutheran Social Service STEAM Freedom School is a FREE 6-week summer program in North Minneapolis that builds academic skills through high-quality STEAM education and summer reading activities. Food and transportation are included. June 27 – August 5, 2022.
Scholars who have completed kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible.
