Kicking the School Year Off with Vikings’ Justin Jefferson

Touchdown for the Northside! On the last day of August, just before school started, Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings stopped by the Phyllis Wheatley Community Center with 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for NAZ Northside scholars.

Justin and his brother Jordan donated and dispensed the backpacks to NAZ families to ensure they were ready for the new school year. Justin talked with the scholars, signed their bags and hats, and learned more about their excitement – or qualms – about the first day of school.

“I always remember the first day of school is always stressful and you got all this anxiety so I just wanted to do this little part and share the light,” Justin said.
